Six weeks after liposculpture: love handles greatly improved, shape not as boxy. Happy patient!
Prior to liposuction. "love handles" quite asymmetric: note the bulge on the right side
Six weeks later: much better symmetry, a more youthful and less odd-looking shape achieved. Not lumpy any more
Prior to liposuction. Much of the abdominal bulge here is due to "intra-abdominal fat": fat deep in the belly, behind the abdominal wall musculature, surrounding the intestines and kidneys and other organs. That is to say, most of the fat is too deep to be reached by liposuction. Liposuction can reach only the fat directly under the skin; extra-abdominal or subcutaneous fat.
So, here, the belly is still bulging with intra-abdominal fat, but we got rid of a lot of the extra-abdominal fat.
And from the other side, prior to liposuction.
And six weeks after. The patient was very happy that we had taken so much of her subcutaneous fat: and she realised that it was up to her, with diet and exercise, to reduce her intra-abdominal fat.
Because we treated the abdomen and the love handles, total fee was just $4500 plus garment costs, and no more.
